LAND RIGHTS ANALYST - CENTRALIZED ENGINEERING SERVICES

Centralized Engineering Services is the organization within Georgia Power that designs, researches, engineers and project manages the relocation of Georgia Power Distribution facilities for DOT and governmental road relocation projects.

The Land Rights Analyst is responsible for researching and negotiating reimbursement from government agencies (i.e. cities, counties, Community Improvement Districts, DOT) for their utilization of Georgia Power land rights throughout the state. This position requires the ability to learn legalities surrounding property rights, right-of-ways, construction and utility distribution as well as the ability to navigate DOT plans, GIS and other mapping programs. This position also requires extreme flexibility, prioritization and time management skills as project demands can shift quickly.

In addition to working closely with our Centralized Engineering Services team, this position would be expected to communicate these rights and help support any questions or clarifications from our DOT and governmental partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Real estate research experience preferred

  • Experience interacting with all levels within government agencies preferred

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong research skills (i.e. online, government records, court documents, internal company records, equipment maintenance records)

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
